Nutan Maharashtra Vidya Prasarak Mandal is a highly respected education society in Maharashtra and is credited with starting national education schools in the Maval Region of Pune district over 100 years ago. The great freedom fighter Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak was the founder member of the Mandal and was the Chairman of its Governing Body for almost 12 years. The late Hon. Vishnu G. Vijapurkar was the first Principal of "Samarth Vidyalaya" - the first national school started by the Mandal. He was imprisoned by the British authorities for his so called anti British activities. Vishnu Ganesh Pingle was a Vibrant Student of Samarth Vidyalaya. He became a leader of the Gadar Party of Lala Hardayal and was hanged by the British for his revolutionary activities when he was barely 26. The Mandal and its schools has such rich heritage. The Mandal established one Primary and Six Secondary Schools and One Polytechnic & One Engg.College in the Maval region with the sole intention of providing education to the youth of relatively backward area of the Pune District as detailed below -

The result of this institute since inception represents its credibility, as the result of Final year have never been less than 95 % and majority of student passing in 1st class. More than 100 passed out students have joined degree courses after completing diploma. and some students have also obtained post graduate degree after graduation. All the passed out students have been gainfully employed and a few of them are working outside India. All the students give credit to Nutan Maharashtra Vidya Polytechnic for their excellent career.

The institute acquires 10 Acres Land, at which there is well built up building. The institute is completely equipped with the necessary infrastructure including building, Laboratories equipment and qualified faculty. The Workshop of the Polytechnic has also been equipped with the necessary machinery.
